Agrofuturo Expo 2026: Colombian agriculture is experiencing its best export moment.

Colombian agriculture is going through one of the most dynamic periods in recent years. According to the latest report from the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), in January 2026, exports of agricultural products, food, and beverages reached US$1.408 billion FOB, up 23% compared to the same month last year. Also, the Rural Agricultural Planning Unit (UPRA), based on DANE figures, reported that between January and March 2026, the country had its best first quarter of exports ever for the agricultural and agro-industrial sector, with sales of US$3.989 billion, solidifying the countryside as one of the main engines of the national economy.

In this context, Expo Agrofuturo 2026, which will take place from October 21 to 23 at Corferias, comes at a crucial moment to connect producers, businesspeople, investors, international buyers, financial institutions, startups, and tech developers around a shared goal: turning agricultural growth into new business opportunities for Colombia and Latin America. The fair expects to bring together over 350 exhibiting companies, around 14,000 specialized visitors, international buyers, and broad representation from the agri-food ecosystem in spaces like AgroMatch, AgStar, and the trade show, all designed to foster strategic partnerships, attract investment, and boost the sector's competitiveness.

One of the main highlights of this edition will be the evolution of FIXA, which is moving away from being an academic hall to becoming a Knowledge Ecosystem made up of six specialized spaces spread throughout the fair. This transformation responds to a reality in the sector: today, agricultural challenges can no longer be tackled from a single setting. Technology, productivity, agribusiness, livestock, innovation, and finance will each have their own dedicated spaces so that producers, entrepreneurs, and investors can find concrete answers to challenges related to competitiveness, sustainability, and access to new markets. In addition to conferences, the ecosystem will include interviews, success stories, advice sessions, TED Talks, startup pitches, and networking areas, aiming to turn knowledge into a cross-cutting experience for all attendees.

The agenda for Expo Agrofuturo 2026 will cover some of the topics currently redefining the future of global agriculture, including artificial intelligence applied to the field, precision farming, biotechnology, food security, regenerative agriculture, rural financing, exports, AgrifoodTech innovation, and access to international markets. "The growth that Colombian agriculture is experiencing today represents a historic opportunity, but it also brings new challenges. The next step doesn't just depend on producing more, but on incorporating technology, generating higher added value, accessing new markets, and strengthening the connections between those who are part of the agri-food chain. Expo Agrofuturo 2026 aims to become the place where these conversations turn into partnerships, investments, and business for the development of the sector," said Doris Chingaté, project manager of Expo Agrofuturo at Corferias.

For his part, Ricardo Jaramillo, CEO of Agrilink and co-organizing partner of Expo Agrofuturo, pointed out that "the great transformations in agriculture begin when knowledge, innovation, and capital come together in one place. This edition of Expo Agrofuturo is designed to anticipate the trends that will shape the next decade of the sector and connect those who have the ability to turn these trends into real growth opportunities for Colombia and Latin America."

For three days, Bogotá will once again become the main meeting point for Latin American agriculture, in an edition that will seek to answer a key question for the sector's future: how to turn the good moment of Colombian agriculture into a platform for sustainable growth, innovation, and new business for the region?
